BACKGROUND AND AREAS OF EXPERTISE
I am incredibly passionate about health and fitness and have been fortunate to have my research projects align with my interests in human health. After using diet to overcome my own health issues, I became fascinated with the body's potential to heal itself, given the opportunity. That experience greatly inspired my research into understanding these mechanisms. I have extensively researched the effect of ketogenic metabolic therapies on chronic kidney disease, including ketogenic diets, fasting, and ketone supplementation. This research led to the foundation of Santa Barbara Nutrients and the first medical food for polycystic kidney disease, KetoCitra.

RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
I have had the pleasure of collaborating on the construction and relaunch of a dietary intervention specifically for individuals with PKD called Ren.Nu. This program is young but has already started to have significant impact on the lives of those with living with PKD.
I am also very happy to report the first clinical trial for ketogenic diet use in PKD was recently published with very positive results.
